It all began as "child's play". As a child I loved to play
"dress up" and accessorize with my mother's jewelry, going
to auctions and stores with her and gawking inside the
jewelry showcases. I knew then I had a passion for jewelry
and gemstones.
It wasn't until the Junior High school Earth Science
classes, and learning about Rocks and Minerals that it
finally clicked!! I wanted to pursue the field of
Gemology!! I went to Harcum college in Bryn Mawr,
Pennsylvania to study Marketing and Retail Merchandising
and then went on to study at the Gemological Institute of
America (GIA) in Santa Monica, California.
At the young age of 20, I started with what was left of my
savings account and purchased a collection of fine Colored
stone and Diamond rings, cultured pearl strands, and
selected 18 & 14 Karat gold pieces. I made contacts with
all of the people that I had known and word spread that I
was "in business". Having made that commitment, I worked
out of my parent's basement and had a variety of home
jewelry shows and private apppointments. My mentors would
provide jewelry to fit the needs of my clients if they had
special requests. I also worked out of a local antique
jewelry store. My parents had seen my focus and dedication
and offered to help me get established in a jewelry store
of my own.
Williams & Co. Fine Jewelry has been everything that I had
wished it would be. I love to work individually with my
clients. I am involved in every aspect of the business.
Buying each and every piece that fills the showcases. I
know what my clients are looking for. If it can not be
found, it can always be custom made. My specialty is
anything that is unique. I try to have pieces that are not
seen in other jewelry stores, whether it be Antique,
Traditional, or Contemporary designs.
I have built my business on a famous quote."Things of
quality have no fear of time". You can be assured that time
and expertise have gone into every facet of my business.
Whether your budget is $50 or $50,000 our clients will
always be treated the same and will always be offered "Fine
Jewelry with Fine Service". |
